Parking Options at Athens Airport
The Short-Term P1 and P2
El. Venizelos Parking areas P1 and P2 are located near the Arrivals level, within a 2-5-minute walking distance from the main terminal building. Parking areas P1 and P2 serve the short-term parking needs of the airport and are ideal for stays of five hours or less. Numerous parking spots are available (including dedicated parking areas for disabled persons). Furthermore, passengers are offered 20-30 minutes of free parking (30 minutes for Short-Term P1 and 20 minutes for Short-Term 2), as well as significant discounts on online reservations.
The Short-Term Parking Lot 1 has been relocated. It can now be found within the premises of the Long-Term Parking, about 5 minutes on foot from the terminal doors. The parking lot is located around the pedestrian bridge linking the Long-Term Parking area to the terminal. Therefore, drivers enter the long-term facility and follow the signs toward the Short-Term Parking Lot, which has its own barriers. A dedicated autopay station is also available for motorists using the short-term facilities. Please note that only on-site parking is available; online reservations are not offered. Electric car drivers can charge their vehicles, as 14 EV charging stations are available on the premises. Luggage trolleys are also provided.
On the other hand, Short-Term Parking Lot 2 is just one minute away from the terminal. Online bookings aren’t available; only on-site (gate) access is possible. The car park features a designated area for travelers with disabilities and provides luggage trolleys, allowing passengers to carry their bags conveniently to the check-in area. The Long-Term Athens Airport Parking Lot
On the other hand, Athens Airport provides a Parking area for long-term parking purposes. Operating 24/7, the Long Term Parking has more than 5.800 parking spots and is to be found across the Attiki Odos motorway, only 5-10 minutes away on foot from the terminal building. However, there is also a free shuttle bus, connecting the Long Term Parking area and the Athens airport terminal in just 8 minutes. Special parking spots are reserved for persons with disabilities. As mentioned above, it is recommended to book your parking space online so as to receive discounts and special benefits. Card payments also come with special discounts.
Our Tip: The Economy Athens Airport Parking Lots are located on either side of the Long Term Car Park, 8-10 minutes from the terminal building via the free airport shuttle. They are an even more affordable option, as the first 1000 parking spaces of the day are charged the “Early Booking Price” (5€/5.51$ per day).
The Motorcycle Parking Area
Finally, there is a designated area for motorcycles at the Short Term P1, at the curbside of the Arrivals level. The Motorcycle Parking area is accessible through a separate entrance, 200 meters before the P1 main entrance.
A new multi-storey parking facility is currently under construction to replace Short-Term P1. As a result, Short-Term P1 has been temporarily relocated within the Long-Term Parking Lot area.

P1 and P2 parking facilities are recommended for short stays (up to 4–5 hours). The two car parks are located just outside the main terminal’s Arrivals area, within a 2–5 minute walk from the terminal doors. Overall, their fares are within the expected range, while the first 20 minutes are free when using Short-Term Parking Lot P2 (for up to two entries per day). Short-Term Car Park P1 offers a free 30-minute parking period. Motorists can either take a ticket on entry and pay afterward at the automatic payment machines located at P1 and P2, or use their bank card directly at the entrance barrier and again at exit, so the payment is processed automatically.

The Long-Term Athens Airport Parking Lot’s Price List
The long-term car park of El. Venizelos Airport serves the long-stay parking needs of ATH airport’s passengers. It offers lower prices, yet its location is significantly further from the terminal doors. Thus, travelers can either use the pedestrian bridge connecting the Long Term Parking with the Main Terminal and traverse the distance on foot in about 10 minutes or take the free shuttle bus, departing every 10 minutes. The airport shuttle makes 14 stops and needs 8-10 minutes to reach the Terminal. Payments for the long-stay car park can be made similarly to the short-stay P1 and P2: through automatic machines or by using a credit card.

The Pick-Up and Drop-Off Zones at El. Venizelos Airport
Motorists who want to pick up passengers or drop them off at Athens Airport can use the designated zones in front of the Arrivals and Departures, respectively. Barriers separate the pick-up/drop-off zones. Drivers can use these areas for 10 minutes out of charge (for up to 2 entries per day).
